Announcing! Guaranteed Proven Results Without The Gym Chest Press

(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, February 11, 2015 ) Phoenix, AZ -- AirBareXercises announces the launch of its new website. The new website has added features like a shopping cart and an improved Blog section. The new blog will allow ABX's contributors to make available all the latest developments from its health and fitness products line. One of the latest offerings from this cutting edge company involves the latest research from its cutting edge fitness program.

The prevailing wisdom used to be that long endurance training sessions were necessary to improve the cardiovascular system. Now, research suggests there's more than one way to improve cardiovascular fitness. Study after study continues to show that interval training; the art of alternating high-intensity with low-intensity effort, is beneficial for the heart & lungs. High-intensity training can also be just as effective as traditional endurance training at burning fat; thanks to the "afterburn" effect, the body continues to burn calories & fat immediately following these all-out training sessions. Increasing workout intensity combined with a healthy diet can even help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Can the body be transformed in 20 minutes? Like other fitness modes, no; but in time short, intense workouts will get results over the course of several weeks.

Many may have heard of HIIT (high intensity interval training), but that's not the only interval workout – metabolic conditioning, "MetCon" for short; a type of interval training designed to challenge the body & improve the delivery of nutrients to the body with set rest & work ratios. This increase in efficiency translates to other activities so athletes can lower their time in the next triathlon, marathon or sport of choice.
According to Dr. James Moore, VP in charge of technical development at ABX, "the goal of metabolic conditioning is to train the body to work at a higher intensity & increase the efficiency of storage & delivery of energy. This involves pushing our heart & body close to the maximum before allowing a brief period of recovery & then repeating." As Moore explains, "when this is done regularly for several weeks, our bodies become more efficient, meaning we are able to, pump more blood, deliver more oxygen, and meet the demands of any sport or exercise with less work."

How exactly can 20-30minutes of high-intensity exercise exceed the effects of a longer cardiovascular workout? Research suggests the answer lies in enzymes & cell signaling pathways stimulated by all-out effort. Briefly, the "on" periods where the body is working as hard as possible creates a cascade of events that leads to beneficial adaptations such as an increase in mitochondria (the bodies power source) & an increase in the ability to burn fat for fuel. Varying as many elements as possible only increases the results.

While going all-out can be advantageous, doing it every day can actually be detrimental to success. Whether getting started with a new workout routine or adding metabolic conditioning to a regular training program, Moore advises doing no more than three 20-30 minute sessions per week, and even less for beginners. Also, be wary of adding MetCon onto other workouts in the same session, since doing this with an exhausting lifting or cardiovascular session can lead to injury due to overtraining & fatigue.

When it's time to workout, Moore prefers movements like frog jumps, planks with movement, squats, or Burpee's, which are easily modified & can be done anywhere. Multi-planar, full-body exercises also beat out machine-based variations that isolate only one muscle group. "Set up a circuit of 8 different exercises to cycle through," Moore recommends.

The last thing to decide before getting started: selecting the work-to-rest ratio. A 30-on/30-off ratio would mean going all-out for 30 seconds, followed by a 30 second rest. Not quite ready for that? Moore suggests, "try 20/30 or 15/30 until you build up your fitness level. The idea is to push yourself towards your maximum heart rate, not to compare with others."
