(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, July 08, 2015 ) London, UK -- Rumours about the launch date of the new range of iPhones – the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are abounding. The current iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were launched in September 2014, and the word on the ground is that the 6S range will be released 12 months on – this September.
According to the Telegraph a leaked internal Vodafone document revealed the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will be available for sale from September 25 with customers being able to pre-order a week earlier starting September 18.
Accessory providers are already taking note of the expected new arrival. Boom Products, who produce and sell phone accessories including the best-selling Shock-2* for iPhone 6 note that this looks like the usual route for Apple updates and that previous rumours for an early move to a brand new iPhone 7 design this year look to be less likely now.
While the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will no doubt look no different from their iPhone 6 counterparts there will be new features. Among them is rumoured to be the Taptic Engine and Force Touch already available with the Apple Watch and new MacBook. This will enable users to interact with their devices in new ways.
It is also being rumoured that the iPhone 6S range will include a revitalised camera system. The back camera will incorporate two lenses producing what is being labelled as "DSLR quality imagery."
One development, if it is to be introduced with the rollout of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will be wireless charging.
As for colour, the rumour mill has it that the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S Plus will be available in rose gold hue. Whether that is in addition to the silver, gold or space grey for the IPhone 6 range remains to be seen.
