(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, September 04, 2015 ) Wilmington, Delaware -- Though the company has been working on establishing a physical existence in Europe, it seems as though the marketing has already started. Stunning Gadgets put an advertisement in a Swedish daily which strangely didn't bear any text. The ad didn't even have the company's URL or a description of what people were looking it. The photo included small shots of what looked to be a slightly different looking Pocket Chainsaw along with a Solar Battery Charger and a couple of other items which weren't in full view. Many believe that the attempt is to create mystery.
News outlets apart from the Swedish daily have picked up on the rather strange way of advertising. Perhaps this was the intent of the rather ambiguous advertising stunt which left many baffled as to if it was a printing error. However, the Swedish daily has said that the newspaper prints advertisements as is and so this may have been the way that the advertisement was received. But despite being ambiguous it has managed to create a fair amount of hype.
"The intention of the ad was not to create hype but rather get the word out about us being in Europe. The reason why we opted for no words was because we want people to be curious. Plus we knew that what we do not say will be said by the media in general. So, a lot of what is happening we actually planned for it. As I've said before we do not create hype but in this case we are creating mystery. I think that people are bamboozled by all types of advertising and so something which does not jump out at them will have the required effect and we were right." said the Advertising Executive for Stunning Gadgets "Though this is not how we normally advertise but can be considered an experiment. But I cannot comment on if we will continue to run advertisements like these solar gadgets in the future."
Stunning Gadgets has already started an EU site which has all the prices and products geared towards the region. However, the company has not seen a sudden rise in sales despite the advertisement that said critics agree that for a company that does not have any Swedish speakers putting out an ad with no words is a good technique to garner interest. But how much interest the company is able to garner is anyone's guess for now with this new solar phone charger.
