Capturestream Announces the Release of its New Netflix Streaming Recorder

Capture Streaming Video

Tutorial - Capture Streaming Video

(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, September 25, 2015 ) San Francisco, CA -- The developers at CaptureStream have launched their latest line of video streaming capture solutions. While previous versions focused solely on video file formats such as MP4, QuickTime and WMV, this latest release will detect any type of streaming media and if the media detected is not supported the software will launch in "compatibility mode". In compatibility mode the software will capture streams directly from the PC's sound card and/or video card.

"The technology is not yet perfected, but is improving daily" says Eric Nelson, a leading developer of the CaptureStream team. "While supported file formats can be captured in 100% quality, non-supported file formats are still subject to capturing pauses and errors from stream buffering".

In-stream commercials have also been an issue, but are nearly resolved. Users can optionally set a "stream filter" based on duration or any other number of variables. A common filter is to auto-delete any stream with duration of less than one minute. Other filters can include streams separated by pauses, highly useful in eliminating pop-up ad's that are not hosted within the native video.

Another new feature is the software's ability to start and stop on its own. There is no longer any need for a user to "babysit" the application, additionally when recording in supported modes, the software captures the stream as quickly as it is buffered. A typical video with a duration of five minutes might be buffered in one minute, the software in this instance would capture the video in its entirety in just one minute; allowing proactive users to continue on to the next bit of media.

Output compatibility has also been improved, now all popular portable devices and file formats are supported, and users can customize their own preferences allowing for auto-export and conversion for each and every type of file. This is very convenient for users who need audio files to be converted to a particular file format, while video files are converted to another. Users who are technologically challenged will enjoy simple capture streaming video tutorials that the developer has published to YouTube.

The latest rendition has been built with iTunes integration allowing Apple fans to enjoy one-click import and export of all their media files to an external iPad or directly into the iTunes library. The multi-threader allows for simultaneous detection of an unlimited amount of media streams, and simultaneous conversion of those streams to one or more output file formats.

The new software for recording Netflix is slated for release in January of 2016, and will be followed by a German language version to coincide with Netflix's recent launch in Germany. The company hopes to have a global native video stream capture solution by the 1st quarter of 2016.
