(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, April 11, 2017 ) Helsinki, Finland -- Samtext launches multilingual content marketing actively using the differences between the Nordic nations as cultural assets instead of obstacles. And Finnish is the most different of them all.

Scandinavians themselves know better, of course. However, even a child will immediately see the difference between Finnish and the Scandinavian languages. This can give rise to the misconception that Finns are very different from Scandinavians. Again, Scandinavians know better; the similarities far outweigh the differences, so much so that the Nordics indeed function as one market. The trade between the Nordic nations is formidable, and there is a vast number of international companies that have branch offices in each country.
For more than 21 years, Samtext has been a full-service language provider in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway, delivering copywriting, translation, copy-adaptation, editing, proof-reading and production design to more than 2,000 companies.
"We have always had clients with marketing campaigns where we translated and adapted for all the Nordic countries, such as Choice Hotels, Nissan, Toshiba, Dell and Santander. It is one of our core activities," says Samtext's CEO, Trond Samstad.
"However, we are now experiencing an explosion of inter-Nordic activity, where the synchronisation between the marketing campaigns in each country is critical and the speed in which the materials have to be produced is very high. Virtually all the campaigns are digital, with e-mail, company websites, blogs, Facebook and Instagram being the most important channels. And almost all of them include Finnish," he reports.
To cope with the increased traffic and speed, Samtext has employed Olivia Taraldlien as Project Manager with special focus on multi-Nordic clients. The latest of these is L'Occitane, where Samtext has been given the responsibility for all their websites, e-mail marketing and print materials for the stores in Finland, Sweden and Norway.
"L'Occitane's Nordic headquarters are managed by staff who do not speak Finnish," explains Olivia Taraldlien. "Therefore, they have searched for a language partner whom they can trust 100 per cent to deliver flawless and excellent texts for Finland. Our translators know their skin products and can produce texts with just the right tone of voice for the Finnish target audience.
And we also make sure that all texts are proof-read by a linguist with the same qualifications. But the real game changer is our electronic workflow between the client, the translator and the reviewer in each country. The trick is to automate this while maintaining the quality of each text," she says.
