(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, September 06, 2017 ) In Q2 2017, Asia continued to witness the highest refining capacity under planned maintenance among regions, with around 3,708 mbd. North America had the highest capacity under unplanned maintenance with more than 598 mbd. In terms of capacity under planned maintenance in the quarter, the US, Japan, and India were the top three countries globally. In terms of capacity under unplanned maintenance, Curacao, Mexico, and Singapore were in the lead. Main reasons for unplanned maintenance globally were technical repairs and power outage. Other factors include earthquake, leakage, fire and explosions.
