The offer, which was advertised heavily on Facebook this past week resulted in very high demand and sold the product out quickly as the company scrambled to secure more inventory.
"We quickly jumped into the top 500 products in the Baby category within Amazon and were the #1 hottest release in teething products" said Toogli spokesperson Amanda Little. It also generates a lot of customer reviews of the product which is a critical component to being successful on Amazon."
Little said that the company, which plans to release several new products over the next six months, will continue to offer giveaways as a way to generate interest in their products. "It's a great strategy and, really, it's pretty inexpensive when compared to a lot of other marketing strategies. It might cost $3,000 to $5,000 up front but it really helps to kick start sales and we believe that it's a great investment in the long run not only in terms of sales but also building up a loyal fan base for the brand."
