(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, March 09, 2015 ) Littleton, CO -- Yet another strong cold front moving across the eastern U.S. has brought heavy snow from parts of the Ohio Valley to the Northeast on Thursday, with rain, freezing rain and sleet possible from parts of the lower Mississippi Valley across the Southeast to the southern Mid-Atlantic. Snowfall totals of 5-10 inches are possible for some areas. This time the storm is called Winter storm Thor. The Weather Channel has released a list of winter storm names for the 2014-2015 season to make it easier to communicate about complex storm systems. The names are used in alphabetical order to name strong winter storms that meet predefined storm criteria.
Winter Storm Thor follows closely on Winter Storm Octavia. Both storms have had a significant impact on businesses due to inability of workers and clients to reach offices and places of work.
Delivery of goods into and within the USA has also been hampered by a combination of flight delays and cancellations and poor road conditions.
Leading online seller Amazon has advised sellers and buyers of possible delivery delays due to the poor weather conditions.
