This may seem far fetched but is increasingly becoming a possibility for shoppers at Amazon. The use of drones for parcel delivery is actively being researched by Amazon and is welcomed by online sellers according to a report released in Dublin this morning.
The statement comes from a company which has become a leading online seller of the ninja Saint Joseph statue which is popular among private house sellers and realtors and is believed to expedite the sale of houses. The statement comes in the lead up to the company board meeting which is scheduled for May 1.
'One of the great things about partnering with Amazon is the fact that Amazon continues to innovate to provide a great buying experience for online shoppers' commented company spokeswoman.
'Amazon already have an unsurpassed record in getting goods to their shoppers. Amazon offer a number of shipping methods but how fun would it be to click on 'send by drone'?'
Amazon is increasingly under competition from other online sellers including Target who have recently changed their shipping terms to make them more attractive to shoppers.
'We would welcome the use of drones to deliver our small statue of St. Joseph to customers. We do not worry about the use of automation in this part of the shopping cycle as our key interpersonal interactions with the customers occur in the follow up customer service that we offer. Though we do wonder what Saint Joseph himself would think of having a rap video and being delivered by drones'.
