(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, June 09, 2015 ) Clearwater, FL -- Mac fans shopping for the new 2015 MacBook laptop have been surprised to discover that it only contains one USB port. And that port is a different size than the standard USB port. The new MacBook comes with a USB Type C, which is much smaller than the regular USB port, and about the same size as (although not compatible with) a micro USB. The advantage to the USB Type C, in addition to its small size, is that it is 20 times faster than USB 2.0, and twice as fast as USB 3.0.
Most computer users own multiple USB devices, from thumb drives and printers to hard drives and keyboards. And none of them will work with the new MacBook. Some reviewers have stated that the single USB Type C port of the new MacBook is one of the main drawbacks to its purchase. For those consumers who are as yet undecided as to the new MacBook, there is a solution.
