(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, June 27, 2015 ) Fremont, California -- THRIVE Solar Energy Corporation will have an information booth present at the CERT NorCal Conference in an effort to increase awareness about its partnership opportunities promoting emergency preparedness.

Promoting disaster preparedness and mitigation efforts is one of their causes.
In its 15 year history, THRIVE has been involved in a number of disaster relief efforts with its donation of solar powered lighting solutions. Donations of THRIVE Solar Lights have been given to relief workers and Indian victims of the floods of Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, in addition to the cyclone that swiped through Visakhapatnam and Odisha. THRIVE has also helped out when Typhoon Haiyan swept through the Philippine Islands.
The threat of earthquakes in Northern California is real, and THRIVE is no stranger to post-earthquake relief efforts. They were involved in Haiti and most recently, in Nepal. In the case of Nepal, THRIVE partnered with the Indian army to deliver the 10K solar lights within a couple of days after the earthquake.
Having an R&D office in Fremont, California, THRIVE Solar strives to form partnerships with Northern California CERT leaders to promote the use of cleaner, more reliable, solar energy lighting products for neighborhood emergency supply kits. One of THRIVE's mission is to offer greener options over the hazardous kerosene or gasoline many emergency generators still run off of. Their solar lanterns offer a renewable energy alternative to battery-laden flashlights, as well.
Most Northern California cities have mobilized a Community Emergency Response Team made up of local volunteers and led by emergency response officials. They will gather at the CERT Regional Conference to be held on Tuesday, June 30th from 8:00am to 4:30pm at the Richmond Convention Center, 403 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond, California.
