(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, August 28, 2015 ) Chicago, IL -- American Products Trading Co today announced a new addition to its line up of technological devices. The new key locator combines a durable build with advanced bluetooth technology to provide the user with an easy means of finding their lost items.
The new iKeeŽ key locator is a smart device that can help find lost items, and potentially save a good day from turning bad. "You can be sure that next time you're in a hurry to leave the house and can't find your keys (or any other item), that iKeeŽ will fix the situation for you", said Brooklyn Alexander, a spokeswoman for the company.
Users download a smart phone application that synchronizes to the unit. The easiest way to search for the application is to scan the QR code, provided on the back of the box.
Unlike other Key Finders, iKeeŽ allows users to replace the battery. This saves the hassle of buying a whole new unit. American Products Trading Co says that the approximate battery life is 6 months.
iKeeŽ also has a Selfie-Button. The idea is that better photos can be taken (widely known as a selfie) or group pictures. American Products Trading Company suggests to customers to search for "Selfie Pro" on Amazon, which has a free tripod inside the box. The tripod can be used in conjunction with the iKeeŽ.
The dimensions of the iKeeŽ is approximately 1.45 by 1.45 by 0.24 inch (HWD). It weighs approximately 0.32-ounce. It features a keychain hole and the iKee logo is printed on the front surface.
