Quantum cryptography is the combination of quantum mechanics and the art of code-making. Quantum key distribution (QKD) is one of the known applications of quantum cryptography. QKD solves the problem of key exchange security. It also creates a highly secure key between distant parties with single photons to transmit each bit of the key.
