An executive of Repelbox has expressed his hope that a community will form around the website enabling people to talk to one another and learn new uses for their Repelbox Shower Speaker. He was heard saying at a press event " Pool parties will ever be the same again" and "I go fishing with this little thing".
Boasting a rating of IP67 the Repelbox can be immersed in 1m of water for 30 minutes. This makes it the ideal speaker to have on a boat, in a pool and even the shower. With the ability to take calls in the shower one can always stay in touch. In order to obtain an IP67 rating the speaker needs to be dustproof as well. When queried on this, the CEO of Repelbox said "you can put this speaker in a Hollywood style sandstorm, it will still function as intended".
The device has the ability to control music and volume with big, easy to use buttons and even navigate sound with voice commands through Siri. The speaker can answer inbound calls with the press of a button. The rechargeable battery is a full 650mAh and can be charged via USB.
When queried about the battery life the CEO replied "I can shower till the water is cold and still sing along to my favorite band".
